If you have a New Jersey real estate license…
New Jersey recently amended the real estate license law to provide a “referral agent”. Transferring your license to a “Referral Agent” makes your license subject to the “Referral Agent Restrictions” imposed by the state, and eliminates the requirement to complete the continuing education every two years.
All real estate licenses renew June 30th of “odd” years. Before a license can be renewed, the licensee must logon to the New Jersey website and answer screening questions. Once those questions have been completed, then the broker has to collect the renewal fees from their agents, and remit the entire amount directly to the State of New Jersey.
